Going green this festive season

Hand in Hand Sweden is a non-profit organization that works with entrepreneurship as an effective, long-term and sustainable way to empower marginalized people to escape from poverty and live dignified lives.

Operating mainly in India, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan, these donations will be invested directly in people – educating and training mostly women and young people in self-help groups with a focus on entrepreneurship. Starting their own business means they can improve their living conditions, feed their family and send their children to school. Some even generate additional jobs, supporting the wider community.

And the benefits aren’t just financial – by providing individuals with independence, these projects also give them pride, self-esteem and faith in the future. What better gift could you give than that?
