Giving the gift of education this festive season

UNHCR is a global organisation committed to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for the millions of people forced to flee their homes due to violence, persecution or war.  Children represent approximately 40% of all forcibly displaced people, with close to half of the world’s refugee children left unable to go to school. 

Habia’s gift of education will go towards various UNHCR initiatives – including more classrooms and better school supplies – to ultimately create more opportunities for these children and young people to return to school. More than that, education offers a safe and stable environment, gives hope and helps build brighter futures.

This year, the Akelius Foundation will also double all gifts for education paid in December, and we would like to encourage all our customers and partners who have the means to support this very worthy cause.
