BAE Systems selects Habia Cable for Swedish CV90 Turret upgrades

BAE Systems has selected Habia Cable to support the Swedish Army’s CV90 Infantry Fighting Vehicle upgrade program.

The modernization program will increase the vehicles’ lifespan and strengthen the Swedish Army’s capability to combat future threats. Work, which is already underway, includes upgrades to the vehicles’ survivability and combat system performance, as well as the turret system where Habia Cable’s cabling expertise will be utilized.  

“This is a very prominent upgrade program for the Swedish Army and we are pleased to have a Habia Cable on board supporting the project,” said Stefan Löfström, Regional Director for BAE Systems’ Weapon Systems Sweden business, who is responsible for updating the original CV90 turret.

Habia Cable already provides cable components for the Bofors 57 Mk3 naval gun – produced in Karlskoga, Sweden.
