We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed Cyber Essentials certification. This is a major step towards securing our company.
Cyber Essentials is the UK government's minimum standard for cybersecurity for businesses of all sizes in the United Kingdom. The annually renewable certification scheme is based on five technical controls designed to defend against the most common internet-based cybersecurity threats.
Cyber Essentials certification proves that a company is protecting itself by implementing the most important cybersecurity controls. A team of experts reviews the system at regular intervals to ensure that it remains effective in the ever-evolving threat landscape.
Cyber Essentials certification includes automatic cyber liability insurance for all UK businesses that certify their entire organisation and have an annual turnover of less than £20 million. At the first level of Cyber Essentials, businesses assess themselves against five basic security controls, and a qualified assessor reviews the information provided.
All self-assessment questions can be downloaded free of charge in advance. Upon successful completion of Cyber Essentials, you can apply for Cyber Essentials Plus, a practical test of your systems. Further information can be found here.
