The Unique Strenghts of Habiatron Power Cables
Habia Medical Cables combine exceptional flexibility with the strength required for precise and safe handling. Despite their high mechanical strength, the cables can be miniaturized to extremely small dimensions—with diameters as small as 0.0125 mm. They are resistant to demanding stresses such as tension, torsion, bending, and kinking, thereby ensuring high reliability even under difficult operating conditions.
In addition, our solutions enable the multifunctional integration of various media into a single cable system. This allows data, power, light, gases, and liquids to be combined in a single cable. Special alloys are also available for applications with specific electrical, mechanical, or thermal requirements. Depending on the application, Habia Medical Cables are available in various biocompatible versions - ranging from short-term skin contact to applications involving long-term use inside the body.
Special antistatic properties and optimized surfaces reduce friction and the buildup of dirt. At the same time, the cables are designed for demanding cleaning and disinfection processes and, depending on the model, may also be suitable for autoclave sterilization.

Unlike conventional silicones, Habia’s Silindo® stands out thanks to its specially developed and patented surface:
Improved gliding properties reduce friction against the skin, clothing, and instruments—resulting in less irritation and better handling.
Flexibility and tactile feel are maintained, even after more than 500 autoclave cycles.
Minimized static charge and the lotus effect ensure reduced particle adhesion and an improved hygiene profile.
Important: The positive properties that make silicone a proven material for medical cables are retained: Silindo cable surfaces are flexible, skin-friendly, and proven to be biocompatible.
